Author Guidelines for the Journal of Mathematical Sciences and Applications

1. Scope and Submission


The Journal of Mathematical Sciences and Applications (JMSA) is an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to the publication of high-quality research papers, reviews, and short communications across theoretical, computational, and applied mathematics and their interdisciplinary applications in science, engineering, technology, and social systems.

Authors must ensure that submissions are original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere. All manuscripts are subjected to double-blind peer review.

The journal serves as a platform for researchers, academicians, and practitioners to exchange new ideas and recent developments in mathematical modeling, simulation, and data-driven methodologies.

2. Manuscript Structure


All manuscripts must be prepared in English and formatted as per the guidelines below.

2.1 Title Page
Title: Concise, informative, and relevant to the study (maximum 20 words).
Font: Times New Roman, Bold, 14 pt, Center-aligned.
Author(s): Full names of all authors with institutional affiliations, ORCID (if available), and corresponding author’s email.
Affiliation: Department, Institution, City, Country.
Corresponding Author: Provide full contact details.

2.2 Abstract
Word Limit: 150–250 words.
Content: Should briefly state the background, objective, methods, key findings, and conclusion. Do not include equations, citations, or abbreviations.
Font: Times New Roman, 11 pt, Italic, justified.

2.3 Keywords
Provide 4–6 keywords separated by semicolons (;). Keywords should reflect the core concepts, mathematical models, and application areas.

2.4 Introduction
Present the background, motivation, and significance of the problem. Summarize relevant literature and clearly state the objectives and novelty of the work. Citations should follow the reference style in APA format. Length: 600–1000 words.

2.5 Methodology / Model Formulation
Clearly define all variables, parameters, and assumptions. Include mathematical formulations, system of equations, or algorithmic frameworks. Use numbered equations (e.g., (1), (2)). All symbols and abbreviations should be defined when first used.

2.6 Analysis / Results
Theoretical analysis should include stability, existence, and sensitivity where applicable. Numerical or simulation results must be supported with appropriate figures and tables.

2.7 Discussion
Interpret the results in the context of existing literature. Highlight implications, limitations, and possible extensions.

2.8 Conclusion
Summarize key findings and their mathematical or practical implications. Mention future directions or potential improvements to the model.

2.9 Acknowledgements
Optional: Mention financial grants, institutional support, or individual assistance.

2.10 References
References should be numbered sequentially as they appear in the text: [1], [2], [3].

4. Figures and Tables: Number all figures and tables sequentially. Captions should be below figures and above tables. Avoid color unless essential.

5. Units, Symbols, and Notation: Use SI units only. Italicize all variables. Vectors and matrices should be boldface.

6. Length of Paper: Full-length articles: 4000–7000 words. Short communications: 2000–3000 words. Review articles: up to 10,000 words.

7. Ethical Statement: All submissions must follow ethical standards, including no plagiarism or redundant publication.

8. Submission Process: Submit via the journal portal or email: editorial.office@jmsa-journal.org with a cover letter declaring originality.

9. Review and Revision: All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review. Authors must address reviewer comments carefully.

10. Proofs and Publication: Proofs are sent to the corresponding author before publication for minor corrections.
